"Jessica" 9"x12" oil on board

A very good artist friend of mine was hosting a live drawing/painting session at his home last night. I went there after work and did this portrait sketch. You know I love painting human, but just have not done enough. We had a great model Jessica. I really enjoyed painting her.

Very impressive. I like the way you handled the lights and darks.

Beautiful! Reminds me of something by David Leffel.

This is a really lovely portrait! It is nice to have so much painterly activity in the composition and the earth tones are very subtle too!

It might be nice to have the image in my email be a bit larger so I could see more detail.

From the intuitive/loose/easy style of this painting, it does not appear that you have "not done enough" painting of people.

Very nice portrait. Would like to see more!

This is just beautiful. Love the colors and painterly brush strokes. Wow!

I can't even imagine what your portraits would look like if you did spend time painting them. They are absolutely beautiful just the way they are.
